My first attempt at using Annie Sloan chalk paint on furniture…

I took an AS chalk paint class at Five & Divine in Wernersville a few months ago.  The owner Chris and her assistant Dorian gave a great four hour class, provided a delicious lunch and I left with my notes, my painted wooden tray and three paint brushes as a little token of appreciation from Chris.  Well I left there so incredibly inspired and I really had no idea how quickly this chalk painting would become an obsession!
Here is a picture of my first attempt at actually painting a little table I purchased at a thrift store.  I used Graphite to paint the top and then added a marble effect.  I painted the bottom Emperor’s Silk and then painted the flowers graphite.  I used Annie Sloan clear wax to finish it off.

I love how this little table turned out, so back I went to the thrift store to find more pieces to renew.  My brother was walking through my garage and he saw the table.  He asked me if he could buy it for his house.  SOLD! I can’t wait for you to see what I am working on now…pictures coming soon!
